Where answers can come from.

You may be one of those people who can receive answers in your head to the questions you ask whether you ask the question deliberately or inadvertently while pondering a situation.

This can seem a miracle when you know that you did not 'think' the answer yourself and therefore it must have come from a guide right?

Unfortunately sometimes this is not right, but being aware that there are several sources for this information is the first step to you being able to determine with time and experience what the true origin is for the answers you receive.

Yourself - Your mind

This is excluding illnesses such as Schizophrenia. If you fear you may have this condition, research the symptoms and seek professional advice. This information is for those who do not suffer such conditions.

There is a large portion of our mind that we don't consciously use each day. It stores information from our senses, experiences, thoughts, etc. Your mind has such a fast ability to store information that a simple glance is enough for the information to be imprinted in your memory. Even the information from your peripheral vision is stored.

So, it stands to reason that when you need information that is stored in your memory, this information will sometimes come to you when you need it. This is one source of the answers in your head.

Yourself - Your higher self

The simplest way to explain this is that you are energy. Some of your energy is here in your body, but some remains on the other side and it has information related to your reason for this incarnation, your lessons etc.

We will call this your universal memory. At times, the higher self can connect with you and give you answers and information that you need in order to help you reach your goals.

Spirits

Many people have the abilities of a medium which basically means that in some way you can sense or connect with spirit energy. If you have some talent for sensing spirit, then it may be that you also have the talent to hear their communications with you.

Spirits sometimes like to answer our questions to be helpful or to play games.

Trust your gut instinct. The smallest doubt that something is not right, should be considered. You could write the information down, but do not take it seriously until you have been able to establish where the doubt came from and are assured it is not a nosey spirit answering your questions.

Guides

They have for centuries been praised as an angelic source of information and they can be very helpful. They won't rescue you but they will help and sometimes give you answers to things. For most people, an unexpected gut feeling or answer to something can come from a guide wishing to protect or assist you. Trust your instincts, but again, be cautious.

Other people's energy

This is a common source of information, especially for empaths. Answers can come from anyone's energy that is around you.

This could lead to confusion if your answers are related to them and not you so you may wish to ask the question again at a later date to see if the answer is the same or changed. Keep in mind that it can change according to your thoughts, decisions and actions.

Technology

Human beings can pick up on the waves sent to our radio and television at times. If you have ever found that you suddenly think of a song in your head that you haven't heard for ages and then turn on the radio to hear them playing that very song, or the same with a movie and the television, then you possibly will be someone who can pick up messages this way too. It is important to be aware of this, because sometimes we can mistake these things for signs of something more.

The song could be associated with a person you know or used to know. A guide could answer a question by leading you to a show, book or song in order to help you find answers or a direction.

Combinations of the above

You can receive an answer that is partly from one source and partly from another. For example you could get a message that is partly from your higher self and partly from a guide. Understanding the different possible sources of this information along with experience, you will in time be able to determine the different origins of information and what to do with the information.
