Roles & Responsibilities
Aside from the co-owners, Donna Thomson and Ronnee Ruselle, all other team members are 'Contributors' to Peaceful Willow's content with the sole responsibility of contributing written articles, art or other agreed content.
The following is a guide to the Roles & Responsibilities of Peaceful Willow's owners. While the daily running of Peaceful Willow is generally the responsibility of the Website Manager, Donna and Ronnee collaborate on all major influences regarding Peaceful Willow and take equal responsibility for the running of the website and its associated projects. At times this means one or the other stepping forward to allow the other person to focus on other tasks and projects.
Donna Thomson - Website Manager
The Website Manager is responsible for:
- Contributing to the site web presence development.
- Acting as a catalyst and facilitator of the Peaceful Willow web presence development.
- Interpretation and placement of the website content.
- Application and upgrading of the standard templates.
- Publication of web pages or management of publication.
- Management of the day-to-day web presence for Peaceful Willow.
- Liaising with the Peaceful Willow management structure on all aspects of web strategy.
- Liaising with any other website managers associated with Peaceful Willow or sub-units.
- Co-ordinating operation of Peaceful Willow's web presence in fault/emergency conditions.
- Liaising with any other technical provider(s) of the web presence and ancillary services.
- Learning and utilising the technicalities of the web precense and its associated programs, various coding formats and installations.
- Monitoring site statistics.
- Advising Content Manager on site statistics.
Basically this means being responsible for the technical running of the website and anything associated with that, as well as communication related to those areas. This includes being the manager of the forum and the website in general.
Other Associated Roles:
Author - Donna is a main co-author of many articles and other website content on Peaceful Willow.
Course designer - Donna designs courses for Peaceful Willow relating to her areas of expertise and knowledge.
Learning Co-ordinator - Donna uses her teaching expertise (BEd) to structure all Peaceful Willow courses and design the assessment tasks and processes.
Design - Donna contributes to Peaceful Willow's web design and related graphics, plus projects associated with Peaceful Willow.
Ronnee Ruselle - Content Manager
The Content Manager is responsible for:
- The quality and accuracy of externally facing web content for Peaceful Willow.
- The lawfulness of all externally facing content for Peaceful Willow.
- Approval in the name of Peaceful Willow of all of its externally facing content.
- Overseeing development of content on the website.
- Advising the other Peaceful Willow Managers on content-development strategy.
- Advising subordinate content managers and also content providers on all aspects of content.
- Liaising with those who provide content, eg. conventional authors, on putting their material on the site.
Basically this means being responsible for coordinating the content or information that is put on the website and seen by public, reviewing submissions and editing documents.
Other Associated Roles:
Business & Marketing Advisor - Ronnee uses her background in marketing and previous business experience to guide and direct Peaceful Willow and associated projects.
Author - Ronnee is a the main co-author of many articles and other website content on Peaceful Willow.
Course designer - Ronnee designs courses for Peaceful Willow relating to her areas of expertise and knowledge.
Design - Ronnee contributes to Peaceful Willow's web design and related graphics, plus projects associated with Peaceful Willow.
