Performing a rescue at home can be helpful in removing problem spirits and give you some experience with the process.

The following information assumes that you don't have a spirit problem around you and that you are performing voluntary 'rescues'. Of course, if you have a problem spirit, the situation is the same except that you don't need the guides to bring a spirit to you, you would feel for where the spirit is and bring it in front of you so that you can communicate with it. How would you do that? Your faith that it will work is your greatest asset. Once you've located its energy, you can then ask to see or sense the person in front of you and the energy will respond. You must trust this process for it to work. If need be, work with different ideas that come to mind as to how you can get them in front of you, but don't see any harm coming to them and allow them to maintain their dignity. Most of the time they're just people in pain.

I'm going to first address the type of rescues you can do from home in the comfort of your familiar surroundings.

In this type of rescue, you would prepare for this work as you would with any psychic work by protecting yourself and those around you. Try not to have children and animals in the immediate vicinity. I personally prefer to do this with nobody at all around. It allows for less distractions and less involvement by innocent bystanders.

Ask your guides to prevent any unsafe spirits from approaching you unawares. This will help to prevent a spirit from entering within you while you're working. I would suggest that you only work with your permanent guides in situations such as this or at least guides that have proven beyond a doubt that you can trust them (that they are not a spirit pretending to be a guide for instance). If you have not yet met your guides, you can still ask and trust that they will do as you ask.

You then sit quietly and get into a state of relaxation and the correct mental attitude for rescues. Know that you will be helping these people see that there is something to gain from crossing over even if it's only to see family and friends.

Then ask your guides to bring the spirits to you that require help in crossing over. You will be amazed at the line up of spirits that can come to you. You then communicate with each spirit and ask how you can help them or why they haven't crossed over. Go at a steady pace and achieve the desired results as quickly as possible, but ensuring that the spirit has had its issue addressed and is comfortable and willing to cross over. If you aren't sure of their willingness, they can run and just hang around earthbound again until someone else works with them and of course this is not the ideal outcome.

Speak to them as you would with a friend who was in the same situation. Sometimes I find that they can be like sulky or cranky children and it's important to let them know that they are important. Some of them will talk your ears off. Those ones you may need to gently move them along. Some will be hesitant, but once you get them through that doorway, the guides will be able to take care of them.

Once you've spoken to them and they're ready to cross over, you tell them to look up toward the light or a doorway and when you look up, you'll see a doorway. For some, it appears as a glowing white circle. You see this in your mind. They will see it too. You can even ask who is waiting for them and relatives, friends and sometimes even pets reveal themselves on the other side or sometimes the guides will tell you who is awaiting them.

You may ask for a guide to come and escort them across and they will gladly do this or you may choose to escort them yourself. In most cases, they are happy to walk across themselves and once they have entered through that doorway, you'll see the doorway close and they'll be fine.

When you are ready, you can ask the guides to send the next person and you can do that until you feel you have done enough.

I have met psychics who claim that the 'doorway' does not exist and that it's rubbish simply because they have not seen it for themselves. Lack of experience can be a problem sometimes, but for you, just know that everybody's experiences are different. This does not mean that any of us know everything so don't listen to the putdowns that can come from other people. Just respect that we all have different ways and means and keep trying different things until you find something natural that works for you.

It is crucially important that you see, feel or sense that the door closes behind all spirits. I'm not sure if it allows them to return, but I suspect it may. I know that this is a strong instruction from the guides so it's very important and who wants to waste all of that hard work to find that the spirit is still around?
