There are a variety of ways to predict the future. We decided that we'd find out a little about numerology.
Numerology is used to give you a greater insight into your life, personality, how you express yourself, your aims and the challenges you might face, relationship compatibility and much more.
The numbers used in Numerology are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 22. Each of these numbers represents different characteristics. The numbers representing your birth date or your name are repeatedly added together until they reach one of the numbers from 1 to 9, or one of the master numbers, 11 and 22. The master numbers cannot be reduced. They must be interpreted separately.
By being able to break down the numbers according to the chart below, you can learn what your birth date or name mean for you using numerology.
Destiny Number
Your date of birth will give you your destiny number. This is the lifelong goal you are aiming to achieve.
For example, the name Joe Boston would break down like this:

Add these numbers together as follows:

35 now gets added together: 3 + 5 = 8
Joe's destiny number is 8.
Life Path Number
The date of birth will give you your life path number. This tells you of the opportunities that can be available to you, the challenges and lessons that you'll face in this lifetime.
Let's say that Joe was born 3/11/1979. You add the numbers like this:
3 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 9 = 31
3 + 1 = 4
So Joe's life path number is 4.
The numbers each have meanings that give you information in relation to your life. A very basic rundown on number interpretations follow, but please be aware that there is still a lot more information that you can gather from your numerology chart. This small piece gives you an idea of how it works.
1 - Potential to accomplish much financially and career-wise. This person can tend to be self-centred, egotistical and bossy with a focus on satisfying personal needs or wishes. Number one's possess inner strength and have the ability to overcome weakness in themselves. They are leaders and could work well in a corporate environment. They can work well when able to think and act independently.
2 - Number twos are caring people, lovers and peacekeepers. They can be good friends and are not afraid to show their emotions to others. They are sensitive to others and considerate. They need to work on their teamwork skills and understand that they don't need to be the leader to be of value. Harmony in their life is important.
3- Threes are sociable, happy people who love life and put others at ease. They can be good communicators. Threes will find it satisfying to share their love of life through creative expression whether it be through writing, art or any other avenue. They may not deal well with blocks to their creativity and can possess the moody 'artistic' temperament that expresses criticism. By tapping into their love of life, they can use the positive outlook to overcome adversity and negative thinking.
4- Fours are people who have a major connection with order in their lives. When you think of the number four representing the four sides of a box, this gives you an idea as to the associations with the number 4. Words like order, system, routine are synonymous with them and they are generally hard working and practical people who are also honest and sincere. They can be sensible or serious people who don't cope with disorganization. They may need to learn that they can survive disorder and be generous to others even if it brings a slight discomfort to themselves and that they will still be okay. They may tend to be rigid and unbending.
5 - Fives are clever people. They can be active of mind and body, but this can be accompanied by a tendency to be restless and impatient. They are enthusiastic but can lose this enthusiasm when they become bored. Great to be around, they can inspire others and be fun companionship. They can be happy to explore new opportunities and be open to change.
6 - Sixes can be wonderfully reliable people, ready to take on responsibilities. Unfortunately this can tend to lead them into situations where others take advantage of them. They are nurturers and have a strong focus on family. Likely to be found in situations where they can provide security through warmth, generosity or comfort, they are often the one people will turn to in times of need or advice. They work well with children. It's important for them to realize that their burdens can be self-imposed and a simple solution can ease their load.
7 - Often reserved and focused within, Sevens can be difficult for people to get close to. They are independent and may spend quite a bit of time in contemplation, looking deeply into life's issues and this can leave them in a position where can appear out of touch with those around them, seeing things from a very different point of view. On a quest to understand, the seven may possess good intuitive skills, but must guard against being judgemental. It's a good idea for sevens to ensure that they do not inadvertently leave themselves isolated or left out on a social level. Ensuring regular mixing and socializing with others will contribute to great growth for the seven.
8 - This is a practical, dependable, intelligent person who is confident and often ambitious. They can be a good judge of character. This person is concerned with the finer things in life and gaining material comforts. Unfortunately a lack of concern for others that they are running over in the process can bring resentment and anger from those around the seven. Ensuring a peaceful, harmonious association with others while achieving your goal is wise. After all, you may need them one day.
9- Nines are romantic, idealistic, compassionate and sensitive people. They can be tolerant, but they may have lessons in learning to give to others before themselves. The wise nine will learn that whilst ambition can make them happy, they will find true satisfaction in being generous to others. Focusing their efforts and not scattering their energies in too many directions achieve goals more effectively.
11 - This is a master number. The eleven can be intuitive, insightful, artistic, imaginative, optimistic, inspirational and a great achiever. The eleven has the potential for great success in their chosen field. Unfortunately they can tend to be nervous or tense. The eleven is aware of the physical and the spiritual, but they still have learning to do in order to achieve a state of fulfillment from their insight. To do this they need to ensure they use their special talents in an ethical, non selfish way. Remaining realistic and focused on what's happening around you is important as it helps you remain 'in touch' and balanced, avoiding the tendency to live in an 'idealistic' world of your making.
22 - The other master number. With an even greater chance for success than the eleven the 22 has great perception. These people have the ability to perceive great things and achieve them - indeed even helping to bring awareness on a global scale. However this is not always achieved. If the 22 becomes overwhelmed by his/her power, he/she could withdraw into anonymity.
