Album of Love

This meditation is suitable to anyone who wishes to deal with the grief of not being able to have a child or who has lost a child. It's also suitable to use for the loss of any loved one.

Perhaps the hardest part of the grief is feeling that you've lost something that you can never have or feeling that you've missed out on something. This meditation will help ease the feeling of loss.

Firstly ensure that you're comfortable and in a warm room. While you're sitting still to do this, your body temperature will lower so ensure that you are dressed warmly or have a blanket around you.

Relax, close your eyes and see yourself seated in front of a door with a book in your lap. This book is the album that you would have used to hold the memories of the moments you shared with your child or children.

As you open the cover of the book, begin to think about all of the things you did or would have done with the child. Think of the things you've missed out on or lost. Each one will become a photo or a heart of love that you will give a farewell kiss to and stick into the book on the page.

When you have run out of reasons for hearts or photos, close the cover and stand. You will then see the door in front of you open with a bright white light behind it. This is where your child's soul is waiting for when you can be joined together.

You kiss the book goodbye and let it float across through the doorway where your child will keep it in safekeeping for the time that you do share a lifetime together. In this way, you say goodbye to what you felt you missed, but not to the child that you will see again sometime.
