Love

The guides have taught me that love is basically the basis behind everything. I'm sure this would come as no surprise to you. When they discussed this with me, they explained to me to what degree love energy works and how much it can do.
They put it to me this way...
They showed me a room where I was with two children. One child looked at me and then looked at the floor. When I greeted him he mumbled hello and moved away nervously. The second child looked at me and a big, beautiful smile beamed on his face, I put my hand out to shake his hand and he opened up his arms and hugged me.
The guides then asked "Which child would you respond most positively to?" Why, of course the second child, I said. As obvious as this seemed, the guides then went on to say that most people think and act in the manner of the first child. Of course we don't all mumble at each other and walk away, but they mean that we keep a distance between us that is not necessary and we act and think negatively rather than trusting and reaching out to everyone. It's not suprising to see behaviour ranging from distantly polite to untrusting and even outwardly hostile. Each day people think negatively, even if they keep it to themselves. They may be irritated with something at work, or take offense at a comment said to them or feel that they can't achieve something. They may even be feeling sorry for themselves because of a certain situation they're going through. That's the norm. It's easier to find someone who complains than someone who does not. How often have you walked down the street and avoided the eyes of another person or mumbled a response when someone you don't know greeted you - perhaps you were mumbled at by another when you gave a happy greeting.
The guides explained to me that love energy is the most powerful energy. It is subtle but its effects are dramatic. The guides asked "Which child would you respond to quickest if they needed help?" I thought about it and I realized that it would be the happy child. This is not because I wouldn't want to help the untrusting child - many people would think that this child would be the one they'd help first because he needs it more. The reason was because I realized that I would hesitate as I would not know whether the first child would welcome the help. He may even outright reject it, but that thought does not come with the welcoming child. I felt that if I offered my help, it would be accepted gladly with thanks.
The guides then went on to ask me "If you had the chance to offer a wonderful opportunity to someone you can trust, would it be the first or the second child?" I felt that it would be the second child. Again, it was not because I was annoyed at being snubbed or anything like that, but it was because I felt that I would not get to know the first child well enough to judge whether he could be trusted or not quickly enough to offer the opportunity to him.
The guides told me that love energy is growing energy, healing energy. Love and any facets of it such as care, acceptance, kindness and understanding is something that everybody wants and in this day and age they're becoming desperate for it and yet, we become bitter or defensive and we will not share it. Like the first child, we want the love and we may even need it, but we lose so many opportunities to receive it by not sharing it.
The guides showed me the change in the quiet child when he was shown love. Sharing love with him was as simple as just a hug or a quiet moment really listening to him or a moment of quiet gentleness. He showed such colour and beauty, such a beautiful look in his eyes. His eyes showed a look of relief and the belief that maybe he is okay - maybe he is worth loving.
The guides then went on to show me what happened when that child showed love to his family and how the love allows them to bond. It gets each person through their life lessons and they work as a unit. They spoke to each other with more respect, they stopped and listened to each other, they supported each other and they trusted each other to make their own decisions without criticism. The whole family changed dramatically and I'm ashamed to say that beforehand they were fairly typical of many families today.
They then went on to show the effect of love when this family went out to the community. Each one was feeling healed and happy and shared that happiness by asking after the well being of workmates, happily greeting strangers or even just sharing a smile. Helping someone who has fallen or giving up their seat for someone who looks unwell and a huge ripple of love moved out from the family into the community and from the community across the country.
The love ripple moved from the country to the world. The guides showed me the effect on a dog when it's owner played with it and petted it. They showed me the effects of a plant that was dying and how it changed when its owner loved it and spoke to it and cared for it. It grew and it replenished. The guides told me that love energy being the strongest of all energies had even the amazing ability to save our planet.
If only we would begin to share love more openly with each other, the strength of it around us would help replenish the areas we live in. Of course we will always find the odd person who refuses the change, but if as many of us as possible can try to be more open, loving and sharing, we will create a blanket of love between us that will heal more and more areas of the planet. Just imagine the strength of the energy and how much it can heal the earth if every continent was filled with people who shared love.
The guides showed me the effects of the energy - the love energy building up and as each person felt it, it didn't dwindle and die, but when they shared it, it grew and it grew, so big that the world and all the living things in it could feel it when it was shared. The trees and forests that have been cut down regenerated much faster and they showed me a big circle in the sky above the planet that closed up. At the time, I had no idea what this was. That was 13 years ago. No mention had been made of the hole in the ozone layer in the media that I knew of at the time so you can imagine my amazement when it turned out to be something real and not just an example of how love energy works. To make it happen, in the images, nobody had to do anything more than to speak lovingly or to show love to others.
If you think this is unrealistic, then think of the effect that a smiling baby has on you even when it is not one of your own. Think of the last time someone put his or her arms around you and held you or think of the time you were unhappy that your faithful and beautiful dog or cat lay their head in your lap and showed their love for you. Think of the feeling of love you felt. It is overwhelming at times. If you say that you cannot remember, then go out and give somebody a hug or lend them an ear for a moment. Share your love and see how quickly it comes back to you. If we can manage to become a planet of love, then we will be able to reverse the damage we have done to ourselves. This is possible and it is within our hands. We already have everything we need to achieve it. We simply need to share it.
We will all suffer at some point. It's why we're here. It helps us learn. Even though this is the case and even if you have lost everyone that you felt was important in your life, there are still people out there to love and to receive love from, but you need to reach out first. As you see from the example the guides gave with the children, if you do not do so, then how can anyone love you back? All they will feel is doubt.
Start today with just one person and then another and then another and see what a difference it makes. See how it comes back to you and how it spreads. Know the truth of the guides' words and help us all to regain ourselves and our planet.
