What Colours Mean To You
by Ronnee Ruselle

Some people have the ability to see colour in energy. This can be around the body as in an aura or within the body or even in association with spirit or even just in energy in general.
If you are a person who sees colour, then you can use this as an aid to healing or understanding what the colour means for you. Some people are drawn to crystals for their colour and this is equally important.
Colour is generally associated with the chakras of the body, but to each of us, different colours can have their own particular meaning.
To find out what the colours mean to you, follow this interesting exercise:

Look at the colour wheel and ask: "How does that colour affect me?" "How does it make me feel?" "How does it help me?" and any other questions you can come up with for the colours. The answer will come to you.
Consider the above questions for how the colour makes you feel physically, emotionally, mentally and take notice of any words that pop into your head. For example, you may ask how you feel about the colour light blue and what it means for somebody and get the following information for what the colour means:
Physically - You may get such words as 'healing' which could indicate an area that is currently healing. You may also get locations such as 'throat' or 'legs'. Don't allow the traditional colours of the chakra to influence what you get. If you're not familiar with the chakra colours, then wait until after you've done this exercise to find out about them. What the colours mean to you personally could be quite different to chakra colours.
Personality - You could get words such as 'calm', 'majestic' or other words that could be associated with the personality.
Spiritually - That colour may mean 'a new beginning' or 'journey'. I'm making these up as I go along so don't think that they have to mean these things for you.
Psychically - It could mean that the person with that colour around them has the ability to communicate with spirit or the ability for prediction. You never know what you will find out until you ask and see what answer pops into your head. If you feel nothing with a colour related to an area, then it may not have a significance for you.
Emotionally - It could mean melancholy or shyness. Ask as many questions as you can think of for each colour.
You'll get different answers again for a dark navy blue than for the light blue, but start out with a simple colour chart and go from there.
Colour is also helpful in other ways and once you know what colour means for you personally, you can then go on to learn about it in other ways such as the chakras, colour therapy, crystals etc.
It's a good idea to write these details down in a book or something for your own future reference.
You will be amazed the things that come up when you ask about colour. Have fun!
