Becoming the Elder

The following message has perhaps been the most amazing message I've channelled yet. I was going to hold it to put in my book, but I've decided to share it here anyway. I'll also add it to the book as it will fit in with the rest of its theme. This is the sort of wonderful wisdom the guides have shared with me over the last 12 years and this is the sort of beautiful insight that will be in my book. I have added the thoughts that went through my head at the time afterwards. I wanted to share it because it's a special message.

Message...

People seek like frenzied dogs. They seek and when they feel they have found what they seek, they then howl their announcement to the world.

People do not know what it is they seek. We will tell you that you seek to be who you once were. You seek the knowledge and the connection you once had to 'all'. That connection has not left you. It was with you when you entered the world as a baby.

When you find it, you will not howl like a dog who has found his bone. You will become very quiet for what you find you will treasure above all. You will share some of what you learn with others, but the peace you find and the understanding you find will prevent you from wishing to influence others. You will truly understand then that what you seek can only be for you and not for others for although you all seek, you do not seek the same thing. In essence it can be labelled the same thing, but the experience and understanding is individual for each person and cannot be shared for you are seeking to reconnect with yourself. You are seeking to reconnect with the experiences and knowledge that you once knew. These are individual and no two are alike so what you find and how you find it will be different for you all so this information cannot be found through other individuals for their experiences are right for them and them alone.

Souls who are searching, often expect something amazing, wonderful or miraculous. When they search, they read all they can from other sources, they ask many questions of others and they constantly look for signs. They are expecting blaring trumpets or something equally as sensational or obvious and believe that when they find what they are after, they will know because it will be obvious to them.

Finding what you seek cannot be accomplished with this in mind. The true messages only come from deep within you and cannot be found by looking. They can only be found by listening. Do not rush around. Sit still. You must first understand yourself in order to understand what you seek. The answers lie within you. Your truths, your ethics, what you know as right and wrong are what you came into this world with. Those are the key to finding the 'truth'. You came with all the answers you need. Sit quietly and understand who you are and what you believe. When you find the stillness inside of you, then listen. Only then will you truly begin to hear what you are seeking. This is the only way, because the truth is to be found in the very essence of you. It is what you brought with you into this world and has not left. It has had layers of learning about the physical world added to it.

Strip yourself back and think of the babe who came with all that nature and the universe intended him/her to need. What did you have? What did you believe? Remember the child who responded to the truth. Remember the child who saw the truth. Remember what you felt, not what you learned. Remember how you believed. Children are your key to salvation. They know truth. They know what is real. Watch how they understand need. Watch how they share. Watch how they understand truth. They are the closest thing to the pure form of you for they have less layers. If you wish to see angels, look to the children. It takes time for the layers of pain and dirt from life to build up upon you. You look for something to remove them, but this is not necessary for you are still there - the child in you is still there. You simply need to remember. Look inside yourself and see how you really feel about the world and its issues. See what you believe are the right ways to treat others and for them to treat you. Ask the questions of yourself. Sometimes it is enough to just know what you should do and live your life by that........SEE WHAT IS RIGHT.

This is the key. Seeking a power from outside of you is looking in the wrong direction. Don't you see that you are that power? You already are one with what you seek, you simply don't hear it.

You cannot force the hand of nature no matter how hard you try. It will come to you when you find the 'quiet' and the 'right' within yourself. It will come when the time is right and not a moment sooner. Don't look for you will not find it. It will come to you and it will come from within. It will not be like blaring trumpets. You must work hard to find the inner stillness for when it comes, it will be the softest sound, the softest feeling you have ever experienced. But when you hear it, you will recognize it and it will grow in time to become a part of you. When this happens, you will then become once again the child, the baby who is close to the physical being you seek to be. You will then hear it clearly and find the peace that you seek.

It will not come and stay. It is not the amazing enlightenment that stays with you that people believe it is. It is hard work and if you truly seek the light, you will find that you will work every moment of every day to be the person who can maintain your connection to the light. You must make a commitment. This commitment is not made through physical effort. It is the reverse. This commitment is not made by acting or praying or talking. It is made by ensuring that you feel the stillness and reconnect with the child within. This is what you come to learn - to see past all that you have been taught of the physical, all that you have learned to see - to remove so that you can still connect. It is the greatest lesson of all for it is the lesson that helps you to become the elder.

Afterword...

When the guides refer to being the baby or child, they mean trusting our feelings and getting to know what we as individuals really feel about everything without the influences around us - what we believe is right - being true to ourselves. As we learn to just sit still and feel silence within, we can get closer to our higher selves. This apparently is what will give us the information and peace that we're after. More information came with this to explain it thoroughly and it's too in depth to do it here. I'll put it in the book, but I was just excited by this message and wanted to share it.
